Yoga is a gift for the body and the mind
The goal of the session is to move from tension in the body, agitation in the mind, and stress in the emotions to a place where one feels balanced, relaxed and perceptive of our own body and our environment which ultimately leads to good health.
Yoga in Baldivis- The sessions are comprised of flowing movements to warm up the body and poses allowing us to focus, to tune in and open up our bodies to release tension and free any blockages. Stretches that help us to be more flexible, strong and healthy. And last but not least, breathing exercises.
- In each pose there are options and/or alternatives so everyone will benefit during the session
- We do the movements to our own ability and to our pace. We aren’t in competition with anyone
- We will all listen to what our bodies are telling us for that day.

As the saying goes, Yoga came into my life at the right time.
In the 12 months before, I started having anxiety attacks, lost my confidence, I lost my way-my purpose, didn’t trust my intuition anymore, I went into hibernation but didn’t sleep well. I always felt like my heart was out of rhythm so I would go to the hospital to get ECG’s and that would come back normal (later on realized it was part of the anxiety). I would go to the doctors and they said everything was normal (normal for me!!)
Now we have a fantastic community of ladies (occasionally partners & husbands will join us). Most of us have a restriction of some sort. Knees, shoulders, lower back, hips.
Yes the poses are part of it but not the most important part. With the continuous flow from one pose to another and the breath, it allows you to get back into a flow of being “You”.
Some days you may feel worn out and don’t want to go (me included) but we are glad at the end of the session that we went. The difference in our moods, we release our blockages, let go of the tension in our bodies, let go of things in our lives. We are sometimes just exhausted from work and life and our minds are so busy. During the session we allow ourselves to be in the moment, letting go of our thoughts, being present. Allowing our minds to be still.
